3 day Uganda Gorilla trekking safari trip

We are proud to offer gorilla traking safaris, undoubtedly one of the most rewarding and moving African experiences.
The thrill and joy of meeting up face to face with a mountain gorilla, the world’s largest primate, is a truly unforgettable moment for even the most jaded safari-goer.

Day 1 Drive from Kampala to Bwindi forest national park

Off for a drive to bwindi which should take a couple of hours west wards.Late evening entry to bwindi forest national park. overnight at Silverback Lodge. Lunch and Dinner.

Day 2: Gorilla tracking day

Half the world’s remaining mountain gorillas live in Bwindi Impenetrable Rainforest, and this is one of the best places in Africa to come face to face with them. Meeting these almost-human creatures is often the highlight of any safari, as they relax in family units in their jungle home. At Bwindi there are several habituated groups and tracking safaris make contact quite easily – though you should still be ready for a strenuous day out, as they can range far.
The tracking is all part of the experience. Bwindi’s forest is twice as old as most of Africa’s forests, dating back more than 25,000 years, and the deeply fissured landscape shelters a huge number of animals. Ten primate species, including chimp, blue and red-tailed monkeys play in the canopy, amongst 120 mammal species found here. The birdlife is spectacular, with more than 350 species. If you want to marvel birds you can’t see anywhere else this is the place to do it as the sheer valleys and small clearings are home to 90% of Albertine Rift endemic species. Today you get to encounter these gorillas and make journal of your own.
